In this lesson students will learn why they should care for their teeth. We will begin by reading "Hippo's Loose Tooth" and having a discussion that leads to permanent teeth. After students return to their seats the teacher will give the students a visual representation of what happens when we do not care for our teeth. The apple from lesson 2 will be reintroduced to give students an understanding of cavities following the demonstration. The lesson will then conclude by making predictions about how different drinks can affect our teeth and doing a brief review.
